When Mikropolis was invited to create a signature cocktail for Finnair, we looked north for both flavor and feeling. The result was Northern Blush — a refined, softly blushing serve inspired by Nordic light, clean air, and the quiet drama of winter skies.
The brief called for something distinctly Scandinavian: elegant yet approachable, modern yet rooted in tradition. We built the cocktail around crisp botanical notes and delicate berry tones, balancing brightness with a silky texture. A subtle tartness evokes the lingonberry, while a rounded backbone gin aromatics nods to Finland’s heritage. The finish is smooth, cool, and quietly complex — much like the northern landscape itself.
Visually, Northern Blush carries a pale rose hue, reminiscent of arctic sunsets reflected on snow. Served in minimalist glassware with a restrained garnish, the presentation mirrors Finnair’s design language: clean lines, thoughtful details, and understated luxury.
